Mr. Khan was born on 26th July, 1965 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is an Electrical Engineer, graduated from University of Wollongong, Australia in the year 1992. After that he worked Worked at BHP, Australia, one of the worlds largest mining industries. In 1993 Mr. Khan joined family business Bengal Fine Ceramics Ltd, one of the leading ceramics tableware manufacturing industry in Bangladesh and is very much involved with the various activities of the company, under his supervision and guidance BFC has able to enter sophisticated export market in countries like USA, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Australia, India, Pakistan, Etc.

In 2009 Mr. Khan established Maks Renewable Energy Company Ltd a business house mainly focusing towards solar home system, solar pumps, Bio Gas and Wind Energy. MRECL has done no. of projects on Solar and Bio gas in different parts of the country. It is a partner organization of IDCOL, a world Bank funded projects to provide electricity through solar power in rural off grid areas of Bangladesh under micro financing scheme. Mr. Khan is very much fond of products innovation and new technology and his company is the first in Bangladesh has developed and marketed low power consumption of 10 watt LED TV and fan respectively to integrate with off grid solar system. Mr. Khan is currently the Managing Director and CEO of MRECL.

Mr. Khan is involved with various social and business organizations. He is the past National president of the Junior Chamber Bangladesh, which is affiliated to Junior Chamber International (JCI) & 2003 Vice President of the JCI Global Board. JCI is world largest federation body for young professional and entrepreneur age between 18 and 40. Mr. Khan is actively involved with the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and has been elected as Senior Vice President for the Year 2013 and this year a member of Board of Directors. Mr. Khan is also Vice President of Bangladesh German Chamber of commerce and Industry and Bangladesh Solar and Renewable Energy Association.
